I wrote- Suha Mamdouh- Agencies: The regulatory teams at the Saudi Ministry of Tourism carried out inspection visits to the offices of tourism activities, including travel and tourism agencies in Riyadh, as part of the “Our Guests Priority” campaign launched by the Ministry with the aim of standing on the extent of the commitment of these offices to the regulations and regular requirements adopted in various regions of the Kingdom.
The regulatory campaign in the city of Riyadh resulted in the seizure of (10) violating tourist services offices, which were its most prominent violations in carrying out the activity without obtaining a license from the Ministry of Tourism, as well as organizing Umrah campaigns and a violation visit, including transporting pilgrims by unlicensed transportation, and housing them in irregular hospitality facilities in Makkah and Madinah.
This campaign, which comes within the framework of the Ministry’s continuous efforts to protect the rights of tourists and visitors, and organize the work of tourism services offices, aims to control the offices that practice tourism activities without obtaining a license or that violates the nature of the activities specified in its licenses, in a move that embodies the ministry’s keenness to ensure the quality of services provided to beneficiaries, and to address the activities that violate the tourism system, in a way that contribui para melhorar a experiência do turismo e preservar os turistas e visitantes de direitos em vários destinos do reino.
The Ministry confirmed that it will apply the established regular penalties, which include imposing a fine of (50) thousand riyals, which will double in the event of a repeat of the violation to reach one million riyals, in addition to the penalty for closing or combining the two penalties on each violating office, calling on the licensed tourism services offices to adhere to the application of the requirements and requirements stipulated in the licenses granted to them.
